Summer Tour 2019
In the Summer of 2019 we set out touring the Tarantino Disco around Festivals in the North West. We first appeared at Bluedot Festival which is held at Jodrell Bank, we played on the amazing Deep Space Disco stage as New Order were finishing on the main stage. The festival organisation was second to none and the crowd were fantastic! We then took the Tarantino Disco the following week to one of our favourite summer festivals, Y Not Festival in Derbyshire. Once again we played the Tarantino hits to a packed out crowd who all got involved in dancing and singing along with us on the Saturday evening! We then moved on to what would be our final Tarantino show of the Summer tour at Kendal Calling! Despite the festival getting hit with some pretty harsh weather the crowds still turned up to enjoy our set and get involved with us once more! We cannot thank all the organisers and festival goers enough for your support and love for what we do.
We managed to capture some footage from the festivals and put it together into a little video for your enjoyment! Sit back, relax and & enjoy the sound of the Tarantino Disco.
Imagine being in Jack Rabbit Slim’s Twist Contest, going to the Enchantment Under The Sea Dance, Roundhouse Dance with Jean Claude Van Damme, Compete at the disco competition and get Saturday Night Fever with JT, or go the 8 Mile in Detroit. The only limit is movie and music imagination.
Fancy sampling the sounds of the Tarantino Disco? We have a curated playlist on Spotify which has all our favourite songs from the Tarantino Movies, plus songs which we feel fit well with the sounds and vibes of a Tarantino film. We regularly update the playlist with new songs which we love to play at festivals and events.
Since forming in early 2015 Tarantino Disco have been playing throughout the North West at club nights in Manchester such as Dry Bar and Blue Brick, to the Blind Tiger chain in Bolton/Bury and Rawtenstall. This has resulted in bringing the brand across the country to Rock The Atic in Banbury and Bicester amongst other special guest appearances.
In 2016 festival appearances started to follow after to be invited to perform at the Y Not Festival in 2016, followed by a return to Y Not Festival in 2017, alongside a debut performance at Beatherder, Solfest, Into The Wild Festival and The Big Grill in 2017.
2018 brought further success with a return to Y Not Festival for a third time, opening the main stage at Darwen Live 2018, and performing at Rewind Festival in Perth Scotland, Capesthorne Hall, Cheshire and finally Henley on Thames to critical acclaim. The Tarantino Disco finished the year by being chosen to headline at the prestigious “Pulp Fiction” Party at The Ruby Lounge in Manchester alongside “The Krazy 88’s”.
2019 is already looking special with a summer filled with festival appearances and a unique set of club night slots to be announced in spring. Coming to a dancehall near you soon daddio. Be there or be square.
